Edward Harter, is part of the Xanadu Project lead Ted Nelson at Keio University 5322 Endoh,Fujisawa, Japan, 252-8520. When asked to help set up a dedicated server for Handuma.com and others, Mr. Harter replied, "Keeping clients/partners/people paying you (one way or the other) is usually a big responsibility in this kind of situation. So go ahead and reassure them that I've been doing this kind of work professionally, in a number of capacities, for the past six years, and will be helping out - virtually, for the most part - as I can." |
During his most recent visit to Kansas City, Edward demonstrated the newest features of Quicktime VR. Previously, in Quicktime VR panoramas, the viewer's perspective was restricted to seeing forward and around in a 360 degree circle; the viewer couldn't see very far up or down. Now, in Quicktime Cubic VR, you can see all around and straight up and down, it's like being wieghtless. Check it out for yourself at Panoscan. Don't get dizzy and come back to Handuma soon. |
